Shirt Jacket Workshop

Create your own custom shirt jacket in this 3-session sewing workshop using Simplicity Pattern S9388. Throughout this class, you’ll learn garment construction techniques including pattern reading, fabric cutting, pocket construction, collar application, sleeve installation, button placement, and professional finishing methods.

This workshop is designed for confident beginners and intermediate sewists looking to build their garment-making skills while completing a fashionable, wearable jacket.

General Supply List

A complete supply list, including exact yardage based on your size, will be emailed after your registration is confirmed.

In general, you will need:

• Simplicity Pattern S9388

• At least 3½ yards of fabric (fabric choice is up to you)

• Lining fabric

• Fusible interfacing

• Matching thread

• Buttons

• Basic sewing tools (fabric scissors, pins or clips, seam ripper, measuring tape, and marking tool)
