Beginner Sewing Class: Standard Pillowcase

Learn the fundamentals of sewing while creating a custom standard-size pillowcase! This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone new to sewing or looking to build confidence at the sewing machine. Students will learn essential sewing techniques, including cutting fabric, sewing straight seams, and achieving clean, professional finishes.

Skill Level: Beginner (No prior sewing experience required.)

Students Will Learn:

• Basic sewing machine operation
• How to cut fabric accurately
• Sewing straight seams
• How to construct a standard-size pillowcase
• Basic pressing and finishing techniques

Supplies Needed:

• 1.5 yards of 100% cotton fabric
• Matching all-purpose thread

Please Note:
To ensure our sewing machines perform properly, heavy-weight fabrics are not permitted. Please do not bring canvas, denim, upholstery fabric, fleece, minky, velvet, leather, vinyl, or other thick materials. This class is designed for light- to medium-weight 100% cotton fabric only.
